There is some holy war there). Some people think, that tactics can improve your damage. Other, that it can reduce your misses. Third ones, that it can give you more critical hits. But no one can or want to prove their opinion in cause of closed sphere core scripts.
Anyway 105 Swordsmanship is more prefered for catana then 105 tactics.
